How prepared are you for a natural disaster?
Do you have a written disaster recovery plan? If not, FedComp can help.
Our Disaster Recovery program includes a workbook that guides you through a written recovery plan. With this program, FedComp will provide you with a temporary laptop in the event you are unable to access your credit union computers. If necessary, we will even send you one of our staff members to help set up your credit union in a temporary location.
FedComp also offers ODDS (Offsite Dynamic Data Storage) which is an electronic back up service. Each day you electronically back up to the FedComp server and we will store the last five back-ups for you. Should a disaster occur, we are able to restore your most recent back-up. This back-up service combined with the Disaster Recovery program will surely help your credit union stay up and running in the event of a disaster.
Approximately 125 of our FedComp credit unions located in the Southern states and Caribbean were affected in one way or another by the recent hurricanes.
