Thanksgiving Wishes

thanksgivingwishes Next week many of us will be celebrating Thanksgiving with our families. This tradition began during the founding of our new nation. It is recorded the Plymouth colonists and Wampanoag Indians in 1621 shared a feast in the autumn of the year to celebrate a bountiful corn harvest.  Today we acknowledged that day as the first Thanksgiving.

For the next two centuries, days of thanksgiving were celebrated by colonies as individuals, there was no formal holiday. The first formal federal recognition was in 1789 when George Washington issued a Thanksgiving proclamation.  Then at the height of the Civil War, in 1863, President Abraham Lincoln proclaimed a national Thanksgiving Day to be held the final Thursday in November.

With over thirty years supporting the credit union movement, there are many reasons we at FedComp are grateful this Thanksgiving.  Every year we grow as a business and as President I thought I’d spend just a few minutes to express my thanks to the people that impact our business this and every year.

Our Marvelous Clients:  Without hesitation, we are extremely thankful for our family of credit unions.  Without whom, we’d have nothing.  Thank you for your trust, your unwavering confidence and your commitment to our partnership.  On behalf of the FedComp team, I thank you for your trust and confidence.

Our Remarkable Staff:  I’ve been blessed with an excellent group of individuals over the years. It’s these individuals’ hard work and dedication that has built the trust and confidence of our clients and has allowed us to success year after year.  Much like our client loyalty, our employee loyalty has been humbling.  They have focused on the future rather than getting stuck in day-to-day difficulties. They have worked hard to help us thrive. On behalf of the management team, I thank each of you for your achievements this year.

At FedComp, we must earn the loyalty of both our clients and our staff, we never expect it.  It’s been over three decades in the making, and we are going stronger than ever. We have much to be grateful for. Thank you, to all that support our efforts.  We wish you, and your family have a lovely Thanksgiving and a Joyous Holiday Season.
